As well as skiing and boarding, Kitzbuhel and St Moritz have always held many events to keep its visitors entertained. 2013 is no different and below are a couple of the many of events taking place this January. So if you are going to one of these resorts in 2013 be sure to check out the following.
From 18th – 20th January 2013 Kitzbuhel will be holding the Valartis Bank Snow Polo World Cup. For those who are unfamiliar with polo, it comprises of 4 players per team all on horseback who attempt to score a goal by hitting a ball into a goal, not dissimilar to soccer. It is a fast and exciting sport to watch and what’s even better is that admission is free. For more info click here
For all the avid Ski Sunday viewers there is also the 73rd running of the legendary Hahnenkamm – downhill race, which takes place on the 25th – 27th Jan 2013. With huge jumps and incredible speeds, this event simply cannot be missed if you want to see some spectacular action. Throughout the week there will also be parties and others events taking place so if you are in Kitzbuhel that week be sure to check it out here.
Historically St Moritz has always enjoyed its Show Jumping and for those of you who are horse lovers the 55th St. Moritz Horse Show will be running on the 13th – 20th Jan 2013. Entry is free so what have you got to lose.
For those of you who enjoy Blues music a visit to the 8th “Out of the Blue” festival is a must if you are in St Moritz between 18th-20th Jan 2013.
